About
Kelly D. Gemelli is a trusted legal advisor and seasoned employment law practitioner with extensive experience in advising and representing clients in both the public and private sectors. Prior to founding Gemelli Employment Law, Kelly was a partner at one of California’s leading workplace and campus investigation law firms, Van Dermyden Makus.
Kelly also spent over a decade at one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, Jackson Lewis, P.C., where she was a partner, providing employment law advice and litigation defense to both large, institutional clients as well as smaller, start-up clients. During this time, Kelly gained extensive experience in partnering with employers to find practical solutions to everyday employment decisions. Kelly provides information plus insight that can help organizations find solutions.
Kelly graduated from the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Training Institute and is an AWI Certificate holder. Kelly is an active member of Lawyers Club of San Diego, San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA) and a graduate of the inaugural SDCBA Leadership Academy. She is a Board Member and Vice-President for Crown Point Junior Music Academy, and volunteers her time with Professional Alliance for Children. Kelly is also involved with the student mentoring program at Crawford Academy of Law, and donates a significant amount of time volunteering as a mentor to law students and new attorneys in San Diego.
Kelly enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time at the beach and baseball fields with her family, including her two young sons. She also spends her free time playing pickleball and watching the San Diego Padres.
